Rev. Fr. John Peter Muringathery CMI (86) the founder and Former Director of Divyodaya slept in the Lord on Thursday, 4 January 2024 at Preshitharam Mannuthy, Thrissur. The funeral Ceremony will take place on 6th January 2024 at 2.30 PM at Bharathamatha Ashram Palakkadu.

He was born on 03 January 1938 at Thaore in the diocese of Thrissur, was ordained Priest on 15 th May 1968.

Fr. John Peter, a vibrant, dynamic and People-oriented man was best known for his committed and highly effective efforts to bring people from different religious and linguistic backgrounds under the same umbrella. Divyodaya, inter-religous dialogue centre of CMI Preshitha Province, Coimbatore, founded by him in 1980 stand as a monument of his passionate committment to respond to the need to promote religious harmony and national integration. Let us thank God for all the blessings Divyodaya recieved through him.
